This is just a heads up post.
Stampin’ Up has 5 color families: Brights, Royals, Regals, Subtles, and In Color.
As you know, or in case you don’t, Stampin’ Up releases 5 new colors a year. They are called the In Colors. Each set of 5 colors is available for 2 years, then retires to bring in 5 new In Colors. Because of the release of 5 new colors a year that are available for two years, and the retirement of 5 colors a year, at any given time we have 10 colors that are limited edition.
As sad as I am to see these go (especially Hello Honey & Lost Lagoon!!), I am so excited to see what 5 new colors Stampin’ Up will be bringing us with the new catalog release!
Typically Stampin’ Up will announce the retiring date for the In Colors around the start of May.
WARNING!!!!! When this happens, it is not uncommon for the items in the color families to be sold out very quickly, in fact, it is probable. So if you are partial to any particular color/s, stock up now, especially on the reinkers! I know from experience, it stinks to love a color that has been retired, but have your ink pad go dry. That leaves you two option… either toss the ink pad and mourn the loss of your favorite color, or pay *crazy* prices on online auction sites for a retired reinker.
TIP: Stampin’ Up has made it easy for you to find everything associated with a color family (or a single color!).
CLICK HERE to view every color family (and individual color!) that Stampin’ Up currently has. You can scroll through each color family, and either click on the color family name to view everything available for that family (ribbons, paper, ink, reinkers, etc) or click on the individual color to view everything available for that color. It makes matching SO SO easy!
The only thing that isn’t included are any coordinating Designer Series Paper. Even that is easy to figure out though. Click on the set of DSP you are interested in, and it lists right there the colors that coordinate with the paper.
Like I mentioned, this is just a heads up for you all. But I didn’t want to spring the news on you the day before the announcement is made, then have you scrambling to get what you need quickly. This way, you can gather the reinkers, ink pads, paper, etc that you love over the next 2 or so months.
Let me know if there are any questions!
Have a great weekend!
