Good morning and Happy Friday!
This week was a killer. I am not ashamed to admit that I am excited that tomorrow is Saturday! We have a lot going on this evening and Saturday. But Sunday? Totally empty and I am so happy about that!
Wednesday night I played for a bit with the Spooky Fun bundle.
I didn’t really have my mojo flowing, so I flipped through the catalog until I found something that struck me. I do that often when inspiration is lacking!
I decided to do my own take on the gift bag in the image above, but chose to make a card instead.
Ingredients for this card are listed at the end of the post
Now, my take ended up being a LOT more similar than I intended! I swear, I just looked at the photo once to figure out what they used. I didn’t realize until I was uploading the photos that I used the same paper on the background image even! It must have really made an impression on me 😉
Anyway! The fence was die cut using Crumb Cake cardstock, then the edges were sponged with Crumb Cake ink as well. I did the same for the tree, using Sahara Sand cardstock and ink. I felt that sponging a bit added a bit more dimension to the tree and fence, rather than leaving them flat.
The cute little pumpkins were stamped onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then die cut. It is hard to tell in the image, but can you see a bit of shading on the pumpkins? I used my Blender pen along with Pumpkin Pie ink to add a bit of depth to the pumpkins.
Fun card right?? I have said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE that tree!!
Have a great day!
