Good morning! I hope that everyone’s weeks are going well. It is all downhill from here 🙂
Last week I promised to share the cards that were made in my first Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. I will be holding two more, one this month as well as one in November. If anyone is local to the Rockford, IL area and is interested in attending, let me know.
Each month we focus on a particular bundle from the Holiday catalog. This month we used the Santa’s Sleigh bundle.
There are so many options with this one!
Today’s card was the most detailed, but I think the most fun.
The trees (from Lovely as a Tree) were stamped onto Whisper White cardstock then clear embossed.
The background was inked and blended with three different shades of blue- Island Indigo, Dapper Denim, and Night of Navy. After the ink was laid down on the cardstock, a paper towel was gently rubbed over the trees to remove the ink.
The snow was created with torn strips of cardstock that were adhered down, then liquid adhesive was ran across the top of each “snow bank”. Stampin’ Up’s new clear Mica flakes were sprinkled over the wet adhesive. That gives such a nice sparkly, “fluffy” look!
The sleigh was cut out of Basic Black as well as Gold Foil cardstock and adhered over the snow. 3 cute little presents were stamped and fussy cut out of Whisper White cardstock, and colored in using an aqua-painter and ink.
*Tip- Fill your Aqua Painter with 91% alcohol instead of water. It dries much faster and help to prevent your cardstock from pilling!
Tomorrow I will share the 2nd card from the class.
Have a great day!
